Chef Mike Gracie
Chef Mike Gracie started his career in the restaurant industry bussing tables on the strip of Hampton Beach. He soon found his calling was in the back of the house while working at a roast beef shop in his hometown of Woburn, MA. In 2003, Chef Gracie’s passion for the kitchen led him to a position as a line cook at the original Anthem in the North Station area of Boston. After a few months he was promoted to Sous Chef alongside his good friend & Executive Chef, Ben Hennemuth until Anthem closed their doors in 2006 (later to be reopen in Faneuil Hall).
Before becoming Executive Chef at The Harp, Chef Gracie shared his talents and gained experience at several other Briar Group venues including, MJ O’Connor’s Park Plaza, Anthem Kitchen + Bar, and The Green Briar. In the fall of 2013 he returned to his home at The Harp, this time as Executive Chef - or as he likes to joke, back for his second tour of duty.
Chef Gracie has brought new additions to the traditional pub menu, including seasonal flavors, classic comfort foods and unique lobster dishes. He also added sharable bites and savory sandwiches in the recently revamped menu.
When Chef Gracie is not in the kitchen you can find him watching NASCAR and spending time with his family.
